ALLIED MILITARY CURRENCY WWII GERMAN 5 MARK NOTES
The notes issued by the Western Allies carry a secret sign of Forbes the printer (look closely at the edge of the curlicue under the 5 in the lower right hand corner - you can see a tiny f in script).  These notes are in excellent condition.  We have two. Fairly priced at $10 each.

CANADA FIFTY CENT PIECE 1967
This is the 1967 Confederation fifty cent piece with a howling wolf on the obverse. This coin is .800 fine silver.  Priced at $5.

CANADA PLATE BLOCK 100 YEARS ENGINEERING ' 87
The thirty-six cent plate block was issued in 1987 to commemorate one hundred years of Engineering in Canada. It is in mint condition.

CANADA PLATE BLOCK EXPO 86 CANADA PAVILLION
The plate block is in mint condition. The thirty-four cent stamps show the Canada Pavilion in Vancouver, B.C.*

CANADA PLATE BLOCK CANADA FLAG 30 YEARS '95
The plate block is in mint condition. The stamps have no printed denomination, indicating that they are first class letter stamps. This issue was printed to commemorate the thirtieth year or the Maple Leaf Flag---1965-1995.*

CANADA PLATE BLOCK STAMPS TRAINS 1965
The mint block has two each of two different train stamps. One type depicts GT Class K2 4-6-4T type locomotive, the other CP Class P2a 2-8-2 type locomotive. The stamps were issued in 1965.

FIRST DAY COVER CANADAS NORTH SEPT 15, 1995
The cover was issued on September 15, 1995 to commemorate Canada's North and is in near mint condition. There are five different forty-five cent stamps in this set. The postmark is Iqaluit, NT. (I like the polar bear stamp!)

The bronze coin is a 1944 twenty centavos piece from Estados Unidos Mexicanos. Condition can be seen in the scan.

CANADA FIRST DAY COVER SKIING 1987
The first day cover is in mint condition. The four thirty-six cent stamps are: two of each of the cross country skiing and ski jumping and are dated 1988 Calgary. (Obviously for the 1988 Winter Olympics at Calgary, Alberta.) The issue date is November thirteenth, 1987 and the postmark is Calgary.

CANADA PLATE BLOCK STAMPS CANADA IN SPACE
The plate block is in mint condition. The four forty-two cent stamps are: two of a space shuttle over the earth and two hologrphs of an SST over the earth.

The stamp denominations range from twenty-five francs to five hundred francs. All show very slight evidence of hinging on the back. Otherwise, they are in mint condition.

CINDERELLA STAMP BRITISH EMPIRE GAMES AUSTRALIA 1938
The stamp is thirty-four by fifty millimeters and in excellent condition except for a little soiling on the top perforations, as can be seen in the scan. It shows a discus thrower and is from the British Empire Games which were part of Australia's 150th Anniversary Celebrations which took place from January to April, 1938.

The first day cover is in mint condition. The forty-five cent stamp was issued to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the maple leaf flag. Day of issue, July thirty-first, 1995. Postmark, Ottawa, Ontario.

The stamp measures forty-three by sixty millimeters. It shows the town of Glarus in Glarnerland in Switzerland. Excellent condition.

The cinderella stamp measures forty by fifty millimeters and is in excellent condition. It is advertising (I think!) a German manufacturer of water meters called Carl Andrae from Stuttgart.

This is a mint forty-three cent corner block of the International Civil Aviation stamps, designed by Gottschalk & Ash International.

CINDERELLA STAMP SCHOOL EQUIPMENT EXHIBIT LONDON
The cinderella stamp measures thirty-eight by fifty-eight millimeters and is in excellent condition. It is for the Exhibition of School Equipment & Management held at Dorland Hall on Lower Regnet Street between April 12 and May 22. Year? I would say forties or fifties.

The cinderella stamp measures forty-two by fifty-five millimeters and is in excellent condition. It is for an Industrial Exhibition in Munich between May and October, 1912.

DACK'S SHOES TRADE DOLLAR 150 YEAR SOUVENIR 1984
The coin measures 1 ¼ inches diameter and is in excellent condition. It commemorates Dacks 150th anniversary of supplying shoes to Canada’s best dressed men. It ceased to be legal tender on 15th December 1984. It is bi-lingual and nickel plated.

The plate block was issued in 1992 as part of a series called Masterpieces of Canadian Art. The painting used was the 1937 David B. Milne painting Red Nasturtiums. Mint condition.

3 POSTER STAMPS MILAN 1939 20TH FAIR?
The three stamps are all the same except for the colors. I don't read much Italian. Does Fiera Di Milano mean Milan fair? Clearly they are commemmorating the twenteith something. The stamps are in mint condition.

BRONZE MEDAL KAISER WILHELM 1 COMMEMORATIVE1897
The medal is 1 5/8 inches diameter. It is very heavily gold plated or gilded some of which is wearing off. It has not been cleaned or polished. It looks as though it had a very fragile suspension ring which has either broken off or been removed. According to the inscription it was struck in memory of the Kaiser’s 100th birthday on 22nd March 1897. The German inscription reads “Wilhelm der Grosse Deutscher Kaiser, Koenig von Preussen, Zum Andenken Hundertsten Geburtstag des Grossen Kaisers, Wilhelm 1 1797-22 Maerz-1897

There are sixteen United States Air Mail stamps with demoninations ranging from five cents to thirty cents. All have been used and all are in excellent condition.

The cinderella is for the 19th National Restaurant Convention held in Chicago, October 4 to 8, 1938. (It only says 19th National--no date, but,...the 83rd was held last year so, by elimination ---1938!) The slogan was

3 STAMPS PILGRIM TERCENTENARY 1 & 2 CENT 1920
The three stamps are used and in excellent condition. There is a pair of one cent stamps and a single two cent stamp. The stamps were issued in 1920 to commemmorate the three hundredth anniversary of the landing of the pilgrim fathers.
