KODAK CONTRAST VIEWING GUIDE
I'm not sure how this little gadget works exactly. You're supposed to look through the various colored windows (cellophane, it looks like) and whichever gives you the desired contrast, tells you which Wratten filter to use with Kodak Panchromatic film. Frankly, all it does is make things look colored to me. I think it is probably about 1947 from the stock number (2-47-ch). Comes with its own little envelope with ads for other (probably equally arcane) stuff to buy from Kodak.

BOOKLET MAOIST CHINA & HEROIN POSSONY
Maoist China and Heroin by Stefan T. Possony, Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace, published by China Publishing Company, Taipei, Taiwan, 1972. The little book is three and five eighths by nine and one quarter inches and has forty-nine pages. It is in excellent condition with a small soiled patch on the front cover and one small ink mark on the margin of one page. This appears to be a serious study of the use made by Communist China of heroin in its war against the West. It may, of course, be a wholly or partly spurious piece of anti-Communist propaganda. The author seems to have good credentials and the citations and facts may all be correct. You judge.

It has a vertical fold and has a small tear on the fold near the center. It was removed from a scrap album assembled C1885 but as it shows the completed Trans Canada Railroad, it must have been a late entry. It could, of course, have been printed whilst the TransCanada Railroad was still under construction. It is signed
